Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall artist Livingstone Satekla, aka Stonebwoy says his mentor Samini is proud of his success.
Stonebwoy, who was discovered by Samini, is now the CEO of Burniton Music Group.
His first hit single was ‘Climax’ featuring Samini, released off of his Grade1 album released in June 2012. ‘Climax’ went on to gain him a nomination for the Best Reggae Song of the Year in the 2012 Ghana Music Awards.
According to him, many people wrongly presume that he’s at war with Samini after leaving his camp.
He said in an interview on Showbiz Today on Hitz FM’s with Mic Gizo Saturday that the ‘King of African dancehall’, Samini appreciates how he has improved after leaving his camp, the “High Grade Family”.
“Samini is happy for me, because I have grown well [and] doing my own thing”, he stated.
Asked if he regrets leaving Samini’s camp, Stonebwoy responded, “I don’t regret leaving High Grade Family for I have gathered the experience that I [needed].”
